Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care within our clinical practice. Under supervision of the provider, you will prepare patients, obtain vitals, document in the EHR, and assist with exams and procedures, following AHN protocols.

You will coordinate care using a team-based approach, manage rooming and clerical tasks, and ensure supplies and instrument safety. Travel between locations may be required.

Qualifications

• High School / GED or Medical Assistant program completion is required.
• Certification training/testing within 30–120 days may be required after hire.
• Preferred Associate's Degree or higher and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care under supervision of the provider.
• Prepare and room patients, obtain vitals, review meds and screenings.
• Assist with exams and procedures and may serve as a scribe.
• Follow AHN protocols and ensure proper EHR documentation.
• Maintain inventory and cleanliness of exam rooms and equipment.
• May travel between physician offices as needed.
