Job summary

HonorHealth seeks a Medical Assistant for Deer Valley Primary Care in Phoenix. This in-person role supports front and back office duties, assists clinicians, and performs basic procedures including venipuncture and CLIA-waived tests.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, MA training, BLS, and an active fingerprint clearance. A CMA is preferred, with potential reimbursement for certification exam costs. Sign-on bonus offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Completion of an MA training program required.
• 6 months MA experience preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Certification required or CMA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms and escort patients; obtain brief history and vital signs.
• Assist physician during exams and procedures; support tests and injections as needed.
• Perform venipuncture and CLIA-waived lab tests; assist with EKG and other duties.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient messaging and referrals.
• Coordinate with insurance for authorizations and referrals; maintain patient records.
