Job summary

MyMichigan Health in Michigan is seeking a Medical Assistant to support providers with patient assessment, documentation, and coordination of care across office locations. You will help maintain patient records, prepare exam rooms, order supplies, and ensure continuity of care with other departments.

You will triage calls, greet patients, perform routine pre-exam procedures, assist with procedures, provide patient education on medications, and uphold HIPAA and OSHA standards while delivering

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years experience in health care setting preferred.
• OSHA training required annually.
• Knowledge of medical office policies and procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Triages calls, schedules urgent/add-on appointments, relays test results.
• Greets patients, takes vital signs, records data, maintains records.
• Assists providers with examinations and procedures.
• Prepares and cleans patient areas, sterilizes instruments.
• Orders supplies and medications, maintains documentation.
• Supports training for new staff and students.
