Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to provide patient assessment, education, and support under provider supervision. You will coordinate care across office locations, prepare exam rooms, and assist with procedures while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation.

Requirements include MA certification (RMA/CMA or equivalent) and BLS within 3 months of hire; OSHA training and clinic experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• MA certification such as RMA or CMA or equivalent required.
• Experience in a physician clinic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triages calls, schedules urgent/add-on tests, relays results and coordinates referrals.
• Greet patients/family, perform vital signs, update patient records and reconcile meds.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures.
• Prepare and clean patient areas, set up equipment and dispose of contaminated materials.
