Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required.
• CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA/NRCMA/NRMA/NH CWA credentials are accepted.
• 1 year of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam, collects vitals, and documents health information.
• Performs laboratory procedures using aseptic technique and standard precautions.
• Assists physician/APP with procedures such as pelvic exams, scratching testing, EMG, cautery, and colposcopy.
• Administers routine medications under physician/APP orders or standing protocols.
• Supports clinic flow and communicates with the health care team and patient.
• May assist with basic clinical tasks such as sutures removal, lab procedures, phlebotomy, EKG, spirometry, and Holter monitor application.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and use of data to identify patient needs.
