Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical operations in a fast-paced setting. You will room patients, take vitals, perform medication reconciliation, and assist providers with procedures, along with handling specimen collection and basic lab tasks.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited MA program and AHA BLS; PEARS may be required in some areas. Strong communication and teamwork are essential to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Competenze

• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
• Pediatric PEARS may be required within 1 year in select areas.
• Successful completion of Atrium Health's competency assessment.
• Demonstrates professional governance and related certifications (SPICE/OSHA/IP) as applicable.
• Achieves 6 points from the list of additional market responsibilities.

Mansioni

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and follows policies and procedures.
• Performs rooming/visit tasks: vitals, history, screening, medication reconciliation.
• Assists provider with procedures as ordered.
• Performs lab duties including venipuncture, specimen labeling, POCT, CLIA tests.
• Administers medications and vaccines per rights of administration.
• Handles refills, authorizations, scheduling, referrals as assigned.
• Maintains communication, teamwork, and appropriate escalation.
• Keeps workspace clean and stocked; ensures equipment is functional.
• May assist with training other teammates and serve on committees.
• Provides age-appropriate care and supports growth and development.
