Job summary

Lexington Health is seeking a Medical Assistant Scribe to support patients and providers with direct and indirect care. The role involves patient intake, documentation, clerical tasks, and coordinating with the Epic EHR system.

The person will serve as a provider’s scribe as needed and help maintain accurate medical records. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and 6 months of patient care experience; BLS is required or obtainable within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 6 months of patient care experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in science or health-related field can substitute for the required experience.
• Current Basic Life Support certification (BLS) or obtainable within 90 days.
• Successful completion of the basic LMC competency assessment for Medical Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients and providers with direct and indirect care.
• Support appointment scheduling and Epic documentation.
• Act as a provider's scribe as needed.
• Maintain patient data and organize medical records.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness in the office.
