Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification or 1 year of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, CPT/ICD-10 coding preferred.
• Strong computer skills, typing proficiency, and customer service abilities.
• Reliable transportation and attention to detail.
• Ability to react calmly in emergencies and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Verifying patient information, recording medical histories, and EMR data entry during visits.
• Assisting with patient preparation, sterilizing equipment, and providing education on pre- and post-operative care.
• Managing clinical supplies, cleaning, and sanitizing rooms and instruments.
• Handling patient triage, answering calls, insurance verification, scheduling, and managing lab results.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Applying skills across various medical practice areas and coordinating with multiple software programs.
