Job summary

Mercy Physician Services, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant with clinical scribe responsibilities to support providers in clinic visits. The role includes rooming patients, taking histories and vitals, and performing routine procedures under provider direction.

The ideal candidate has CMA certification, BLS, and at least one year of medical office experience. The position offers on-site work with a sign-on bonus and comprehensive training in EPIC documentation.

Qualifications

Medical Assistant Certification is required.
BLS certification required per American Heart Association.
One year experience in a medical office preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares instruments, supplies and protective devices for exam and testing.
Rooms and prepares the patient for examination and reviews histories and vitals.
Performs injections, collections for labs, and phlebotomy as directed.
Documents encounters thoroughly in EPIC and provider notes.
Manages patient calls regarding test results and treatment instructions.
Assists with diagnostic procedures (EKG, nebulizer) as directed.
Maintains medical supply inventory and patient education materials.
