Job summary

UF Health seeks a Medical Assistant Scribe to support physicians by providing patient care in a clinical office setting and assisting with documentation for medical charts. This role may include clerical and insurance tasks as needed.

The position may require floating to other practices to meet staffing needs, with mileage reimbursement provided pursuing flexible deployment across locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; MA certification, OR 2+ years of direct patient care experience, OR Associate’s degree (preferred).
• Selected candidates must be willing to obtain Medical Assistant certification within one year.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a physician’s office under the direct responsibility of a licensed physician and assist with documentation for patient’s medical chart.
• May perform clerical, insurance, and medical record functions.
• May float to other practices to support staffing; mileage reimbursement provided.
