Job summary

UF Health seeks a Medical Assistant to provide patient care in a physician's office under the direct supervision of a licensed physician. The role includes clerical, insurance, and medical records duties, with the possibility of floating to other UFHP practices to support staffing needs.

Qualified candidates are graduates of an accredited Medical Assistant program with active MA certification (AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMCA, AMT) or EMT license in lieu.

Qualifications

• Certified or registered medical assistant (accredited MA certifications include AAMA, NHA, NCCT, AMCA, AMT).
• EMT license can substitute MA certification.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) required or to be obtained within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a physician's office under the supervision of a licensed physician.
• Carry out clerical, insurance, and medical records tasks as needed.
• May float to other UFHP practices to support staffing.
