Job summary

Ascension Health in Baltimore/Columbia, MD is seeking a full-time Clinical Support role in the Surgery General - Breast Center. You will assist physicians and nurses with patient exams, record vital signs, prepare treatment rooms, and handle essential clerical tasks in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires BLS certification within 1 month of hire, and a high school diploma equivalency or 1 year of relevant experience. Travel between Wilkens Ave and Columbia locations is possible.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 1 month of hire; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Required licensure/certification can substitute for education/experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Assist physicians and nurses with patient examinations, treatments, and specialized clinical duties.
• Patient Intake: Interview patients to record medical history and accurately measure vital signs for charting.
• Facility Readiness: Prepare and sanitize treatment rooms while ensuring all medical supplies are ordered and stocked.
• Administrative Operations: Manage essential clerical tasks, including phone correspondence, record maintenance, and filing.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association OR American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• Must have reliable transportation and is willing to travel between 2 office locations: Wilkens Ave and Columbia, MD.
