Job summary

Ironwood Cancer & Research Centers in Scottsdale and Phoenix seeks experienced Medical Assistants to support oncology care. The role includes preparing exam rooms, rooming patients, and managing EMR records, with travel to other Ironwood locations.

You'll handle calls, referrals, and result notifications, set up orders for transfusions and admissions, and assist with drug replacement programs. A certified MA with 1–2 years in fast-paced settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• CMA/RMA certification or eligibility within 90 days.
• 1–2 years MA experience in a fast-paced setting.
• EMR experience and basic computer proficiency a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and sanitize exam rooms before and between patients.
• Room patients and record vital signs and assessments.
• Manage patient charts and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Handle phone calls, referrals, and patient result notifications.
• Set up orders for transfusions, hospital admissions, phlebotomy, and more.
• Monitor prescription folders and assist with drug replacement programs.
• Coordinate special testing and physician requests.
