Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; medical assisting program is preferred.
• CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; MA cert preferred but not required.
• One year of work experience in a medical office or related field expected.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones.
• Schedule appointments.
• Collect co-pays.
• Complete patient registration.
• Provide front desk support and clerical assistance to the physician practice.
• Check in/out patients and verify insurances.
• Greet patients and escort to exam room.
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications, and reason for visit.
• Perform basic vitals (BP, height, weight); phlebotomy/injections may be required.
