Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Nursing Assistant/Surgical Scheduler to support physicians and care teams across Springfield, Clifton, Fair Lawn, and Florham Park. You will help with patient flow, room prep and documentation in the EHR.

Responsibilities include vital signs, chart updates, scheduling, referrals, and maintaining supplies to ensure smooth clinic operations. Travel to satellite offices is required where needed.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/GED required.
• Associate Degree preferred.
• 0-1 year related work experience required.
• 2-4 years related work experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Ability to organize and perform multiple tasks in a timely manner, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.
• Ability to commute to satellite offices as needed, required.
• Travel to satellite locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room.
• Escorts patient into the room.
• Cleans examination room when the exam is complete.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Ensures proper preparation for patient visits.
• Prepares pertinent information needed for patient visits.
• Documents appropriately in EHR.
• Reviews and updates medication list and accurately documents knew allergies in the EHR.
• Schedules appointments according to departmental guidelines.
• Provides referrals and/or consult orders appropriately and in a timely manner in the PMS and EHR.
• Accurately documents allergies in EHR.
• Assists in ordering and maintaining supplies.
• Provides scribing services.
