Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs and NPs with patient care, clerical duties and smooth patient flow. You will obtain vitals, document in EHR and help manage room readiness and supplies, while coordinating referrals and care transitions.

Candidates should have a medical assistant program credential, BLS, and 0-4 years of related experience. This is an on-site role in Florham Park, NJ with a focus on high-quality, connected care.

Qualifications

• Assists physician/PA/NP with clerical duties, patient flow and procedures.
• Obtains vitals and documents in EHR accurately.
• Maintains clean, stocked examination rooms and assists with orders.
• Communicates effectively with patients and team according to guidelines.
• Follows safety procedures and supports transitions of care.

Responsibilities

• Prepares examination room and escorts patient in for visit.
• Maintains efficient patient flow and accurate room readiness.
• Schedules appointments per departmental guidelines.
• Documents allergies and meds in EHR; orders in PMS when needed.
• Provides referrals and care coordination as required.
