Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant/Surgical Scheduler to support physicians, PAs and NPs, manage patient flow, prepare examination rooms, and document vitals and allergies in the EHR. This role requires strong organization and the ability to handle multiple tasks across satellite locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Assistant certification required.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• English communication skills required.
• Ability to commute to satellite locations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare examination room and escort patient to room.
• Maintain efficient patient flow throughout the visit.
• Prepare information needed for patient visits.
• Document vitals, allergies, and meds in EHR accurately.
• Enter orders and schedule appointments in PMS/EHR.
• Provide referrals and consult orders in a timely manner.
• Assist in transition of care to UCC/Hospital.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
