Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians, PAs or NPs with clerical tasks, patient flow and procedures across multiple sites.

The MA will prepare exam rooms, assist with visits, document in EHR, manage supplies, and ensure safety; travel to satellite offices is required. The role offers a competitive hourly wage and benefits aligned with VillageMD’s Total Rewards program.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduated from an accredited medical assistant or phlebotomy programme.
• 0-1 year related work experience, required; 2-4 years preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) or within 30 days of hire, required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, required.
• Basic proficiency in computer use, required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares the examination room.
• Escorts patient into the room.
• Cleans examination room when exam is complete.
• Maintains efficient patient flow.
• Ensures proper preparation for patient visit.
• Documents appropriately in EHR.
• Reviews and updates medication list and allergies in EHR.
• Provides referrals and/or consult orders in PMS and EHR.
