We are hiring a Patient Care Tech for our Ruan Neurology Clinic. As a Patient Care Tech, you will support clinical staff by providing direct patient care, performing studies, and tests as assigned by physicians or clinical staff. Responsibilities may vary by shift or clinic.

What you will do:

• Perform general patient care following established standards and procedures.
• Greet and prepare patients for healthcare providers.
• Obtain and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, allergies, medications, and presenting problems.
• Draw and collect blood samples and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis, if required.
• Administer medications and vaccines via various routes as ordered.
• Perform routine tests such as EKGs.
• Schedule diagnostic tests and follow up for completion.
• Communicate test results and care plans with patients by phone or mail as directed.
• Maintain equipment, sterilize instruments, and keep exam rooms clean and stocked.
• Document patient care, tests, and examination results in medical records as directed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the practice manager, MA Lead, or healthcare providers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current/valid CMA certification or RMA certification, if applicable.
• Completion of Medication Aide 40-hour course or valid Medication Aide certification, if applicable.
• Optional specialized training such as Non-Certified Radiologic Technician (NCT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within three months of hire.
• Proof of Mandatory Reporter abuse training within three months of hire.
