Qualifications

Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a PCT in our MercyOne Ruan Neurology!

As a PCT at MercyOne, you will support the professional clinical staff by providing direct patient care and performing studies and tests as assigned by the physician or clinical staff. The duties may vary by shift or may be clinic specific.

What you will do:

  1. Demonstrates professional, appropriate, effective and tactful written, verbal, and nonverbal communication with patients, families, medical staff, colleagues, vendors, and other departments throughout the continuum of care to promote continuity of care and services and enhance clinic image.
  2. Demonstrates positive professional customer service in all patient, staff, and visitor contacts.
  3. Utilizes interpersonal skills to establish and maintain healthy interpersonal relationships with healthcare members, patients, and families.
  4. Acknowledges patients’ rights on confidentiality issues, maintains patient confidentiality at all times, and follows HIPAA guidelines and regulations.
  5. Participates in staff development activities and orientation as requested.
  6. Proactively acts as patient advocate, responding to and working to resolve patient concerns.
  7. CPR certified.
  8. Responsible for following equipment maintenance protocol, identifying problems, and coordinating appropriate repairs.
  9. Operation of various office machines (i.e. fax, copier, phone, and computer).
  10. Participates effectively as a team member in the clinic.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of one of the following:
  • A 75-hour/120-hour certified Nursing Assistant Program
  • A 136-hour certified EMT program.
  • An accredited Medical Assistant Program.
  • An accredited Radiography Technology Program (for limited radiography) and possess a State of Iowa Limited Radiographer Certification.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 18 years of age.
  • CPR Certification (obtained within 6 months of start date).
