ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA) in Riverhead, NY is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support clinicians, welcome patients in person or by phone, and prepare exam rooms for visits while documenting reasons for visits.

The posted hourly rate is $23/hour. ENTA offers benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance, long‑term disability, FSA, life insurance, 401(k), and pet insurance, with a schedule Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday hours.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or CMA/RMA certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology
• EMT certification
• Five years of Medical Assistant experience

Responsibilities

• Greet patients in person or by phone and respond to inquiries.
• Prepare patients for visits by directing or accompanying them to exam rooms.
• Verify and record patient information, including medical history and reason for visit.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in‑office lab testing.
• Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies.
• Educate patients on medications and provide instructions as directed.
• Accurately document examinations, treatments, and test results.
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA), one of the nation’s largest ENT, Allergy, and Audiology practices, is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Riverhead office.

Hourly: $23/hr

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person or by phone; respond to or route inquiries appropriately
• Prepare patients for appointments by directing or accompanying them to exam rooms
• Verify and record patient information, including medical history and reason for visit
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures
• Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in‑office lab testing
• Maintain sterile instruments and properly dispose of contaminated supplies

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
• Strong patient service skills with a commitment to delivering a positive patient experience

Education / Certification Requirements

Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certification such as CMA or RMA. Alternatively, candidates with any of the following qualifications will be considered:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology
• Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
• Five (5) years of continuous experience working as a Medical Assistant

Schedule

• Monday-Friday: 8:00am-4:30pm
• Saturday (1-2 per month): 8:00 - 12:00PM

Please note that this schedule will change based on the Physician’s schedule.
