Job summary

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA) is seeking a Full-Time Medical Assistant for our Madison Avenue office in New York. Welcome patients, prepare exam rooms, verify medical history, record visit reasons, and assist providers during examinations and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have completion of a Medical Assistant program or CMA/RMA, EMT or biology degree, EPIC EMR experience, and at least a few years of MA experience.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or CMA/RMA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or EMT certification considered.
• Five years of continuous Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients in person or by phone and route inquiries as needed.
• Prepare patients for appointments and direct them to exam rooms.
• Verify and record patient information including medical history and reason for visit.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic in-office lab testing.
• Maintain sterile instruments and proper disposal of contaminated supplies.
