Job summary

USA Clinics Group is seeking a Medical Assistant for a float role across Manhattan and Bronx clinics. You will greet patients, document vitals, perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, and document in EMR/EHR systems.

You will support physicians and ensure a smooth patient flow in a fast-paced outpatient setting. Requirements include a high school diploma and 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience, with CMA/RMA/CCMA preferred.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the EMR/EHR.
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, and specimen collection.
• Accurately document patient interactions in EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing high patient volume.
• Utilize EMR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks.

Position Summary:

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures - before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details:

• Location: This is a float role, candidate must be able to commute to clinics based in Manhattan / Bronx (Will review clinics during the interview)
• Schedule: Full-time, hours vary between 7am-7pm; must be able to work weekends
• This position requires to be National Registered / Certified Medical Assistant
• Spanish and English speaking required
• Compensation: $20-$24/hr

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required
• 1-2 years of hands-on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment, required
