Job summary

USA Clinics Group seeks a Medical Assistant to support physicians and maintain efficient clinic workflow at Bethpage and Stony Brook locations. You will greet patients, take vitals, prepare exam rooms, and assist with procedures to ensure an excellent patient experience.

Requirements include 1–2 years of clinical experience, completion of a Medical Assistant program or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification, and bilingual English/Spanish communication. Compensation is $20–$26 per hour with paid training.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years hands-on clinical experience in a Medical Assistant role or similar patient care position.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or CMA/RMA/CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing experience in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients, ensuring a welcoming experience.
• Record vital signs and clinical information in EMR/EHR.
• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection within scope of training.
• Document patient interactions accurately in EMR/EHR systems.
• Support care across physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.

Position Summary

As a Medical Assistant, you would balance the needs of patients and maintain efficient work flow of the office as well as provide support to the physician in all facets of medical procedures – before during and after. In addition, you would ensure that the patient has an excellent service experience.

Position Details

• Location: This position floats between Bethpage and Stony Brook must be comfortable commuting between both clinics.
• Schedule: Must be able to work Monday - Saturday, Open schedule availability required.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and assist patients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical histories, and other clinical information in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR).
• Perform clinical tasks such as phlebotomy, EKGs, injections/vaccinations, specimen collection, and other duties within scope of training and certification.
• Accurately document patient interactions and clinical information using EMR/EHR systems.
• Deliver exceptional patient service while managing a high volume of patient interactions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Utilize EMR/EHR platforms such as Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems.
• Support patient care within a healthcare setting, including physician offices, clinics, urgent care centers, pharmacies, hospitals, or home health environments.
• Leverage bilingual communication skills to support patient interactions when applicable.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
• 1-2 years of hands‑on clinical experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar direct patient care role (e.g., Medical Assistant externship, CNA, HHA, Nursing Assistant, or Patient Care Technician), required.
• Experience performing clinical duties such as vital signs, patient rooming, phlebotomy, EKGs, injections, and specimen collection, required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant training program and/or current CMA, RMA, or CCMA certification preferred.
• Proven patient-facing or customer service experience in a fast‑paced environment, required.
