Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care is hiring a Medical Assistant to support urgent care operations under provider supervision. You will manage patient check-in, vitals, basic lab work, and front desk duties in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.

The role requires a High School Diploma and preferred completion of a Medical Assisting program; CPOE certification is required within two weeks of start. Training and growth opportunities available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Prior Medical Assistant experience is preferred.
• Front Desk experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients and verify insurance eligibility.
• Process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists.
• Answer patient questions and communicate patient status.
• Prepare patients for examination and collect vital signs.
• Perform point-of-care tests as needed (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG).
• Maintain supplies and exam rooms; manage charts and records.
• Handle daily communications and maintain reception area.
