GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to support fast-paced urgent care centers. The role involves registering patients, taking vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting clinicians with procedures.

We welcome candidates from various clinical backgrounds and offer an hourly rate starting at $17, with monthly incentive pay based on performance. Education includes a high school diploma; a Medical Assisting program is preferred, and BLS is required at hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Graduate of a Medical Assisting Program preferred.
• Certification/Equivalent Experience accepted if no MA cert.
• BLS/CPR certification required at time of hire or within 15 months after hire.

Responsabilités

• Register patients and verify insurance and documentation.
• Schedule appointments and process co-pays.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Perform vital signs and preliminary patient assessments.
• Conduct point-of-care testing (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG).
• Assist providers with patient care and procedures.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and medical records.
• Answer patient questions and coordinate referrals.
• Perform opening/closing duties and equipment quality checks.
• Support a safe, organized, and patient-centered clinical environment.

Formation

High School Diploma

Graduate of Medical Assisting Program

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (LPN or RN)
