Job summary

UW Health in northern Illinois is seeking a Medical Assistant for a 100% FTE position at the Charles St. Clinic. The role requires completion of an accredited Associate degree or Medical Assistant program, or at least 2 years of relevant experience, plus HS diploma or equivalent.

Certification requirements include RMA/AAMA/CCMA/NCCT and BLS/CPR, with ongoing certification maintenance. Strong computer skills are expected and benefits include a comprehensive package and growth opportunities.

• 2+ years of relevant experience (preferred)
• HS diploma or equivalent required
• RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification required on hire
• BLS/CPR certification required

Job description

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday-Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm. You will work at UW Health Charles St. Clinic 1340 Charles St.

Additional components of compensation may include:

• Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
• Overtime

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited Associate degree program or Medical Assistant program or have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Required
• Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required

Work Experience

• At least one year of professional experience in a clinic setting. Preferred
• Computer experience. Required

Licenses & Certifications

• RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification is required upon hire. Required
• Basic Life Support/CPR Certification. Required
• Active RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT certification must be maintained. Required
