Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant to support patient care under physician supervision. Responsibilities include documenting in EMR, preparing exam rooms, covering front desk, and assisting with general procedures.

Travel to other facilities may be required; strong communication and organization are essential. Minimum 1 year of medical experience is preferred, with a High School diploma or GED and Medical Assistant certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Summary: Reporting to the Practice Manager, the Medical Assistant is responsible for preforming a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measures vital signs, venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician within the scope of practice in the State.

  • Documentation recorded in Electronic Medical Record I accordance with MPA guideline.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients
  • Assists in covering front desk as required
  • General medical procedures
  • Understand end of day cash balancing and charge reconciliations process
  • Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Travels to and works at other facilities are requested
