Job summary

Premise Health Inc. is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant to support the Bass Pro Shops Health Center in Springfield, MO. You will interview patients, measure vital signs, document visits and prepare examination rooms.

You will perform injections, basic lab tests, EKGs, and assist at the front desk. The role requires national MA cert or approved program cert with hands-on externship and BLS. Previous MA experience is preferred; you’ll join a team dedicated to quality patient care.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting or approved MA program with externship completed and transcripts.
• Current Basic Life Support certification (AHA/ARC or equivalent) with hands-on training.
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Maintains patient health records with accurate, up-to-date information.
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Administers medications including injections, performs lab tests and EKGs as allowed by state.
• Performs administrative tasks at the front desk, schedules appointments, and orders supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Medical Assistant - PRN, you’ll provide care to client employees and their dependents of Bass Pro Shops in our Health Center located in Springfield, MO.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
