Job summary

Premise Health is seeking a PRN Medical Assistant for Bass Pro Shops Health Center in Springfield, MO. You will support patient care in a fast-paced corporate health clinic.

Responsibilities include interviewing patients, recording vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with medications, labs, EKGs, and front-desk tasks. The role requires a high school diploma, MA certification with externship, and current BLS certification; PRN hours vary with clinic needs.

Qualifications

• High School/GED is the minimum education requirement.
• National MA certification or approved program with hands-on externship is required, plus BLS certification.

• Maintains patient health records to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information.
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and related equipment as allowed by state rules.
• Performs front-desk tasks, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Medical Assistant - PRN, you’ll provide care to client employees and their dependents of Bass Pro Shops in our Health Center located in Springfield, MO.

Schedule

• PRN as needed
• Clinic Hours: Mon, Wed, Thu 8 am - 4:30 pm; Tue 7 am - 6 pm; Fri 7 am - 3:30 pm

What you’ll do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Education Required

• High School/GED

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
