Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a full-time Medical Assistant to support a Health Center in Lee's Summit, MO. You will room patients, take vitals, draw labs, assist with EKGs and respiratory treatments, and help with front-desk tasks and scheduling.

The role combines clinical duties with administrative responsibilities, offering a comprehensive benefits package and a stable daytime schedule. Prior MA certification and hands-on BLS training are required.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed.
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

As a Full Time Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents in our Health Center located in Lee's Summit, MO.

You'll support multiple providers across the clinic by rooming patients, taking vitals, drawing labs, assisting with EKGs and respiratory treatments, returning patient calls, processing faxes, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Schedule

• Full-time: 37 hours per week
• Monday: 7:00-11:00 AM
• Tuesday: 7:00 AM-3:00 PM
• Wednesday: 7:00 AM-5:30 PM
• Thursday: 7:00-5:30 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM-4:30 PM

What You'll Do
