Job summary

Premise Health seeks a PRN Medical Assistant to support Bass Pro Shops’ Health Center in Springfield, MO. You will interview patients, measure vital signs, and help maintain health records in a fast-paced clinic.

You will prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, administer medications including injections, and perform EKGs and basic lab tests as permitted by state rules. You’ll also handle front-desk tasks and scheduling, with a strong emphasis on patient care.

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved provider.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs.
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accuracy.
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments.
• Administers medications including injections and performs EKGs/tests as allowed by state regulations.
• Performs administrative tasks at the front desk, schedules appointments, and may order supplies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

As a Medical Assistant - PRN, you'll provide care to client employees and their dependents of Bass Pro Shops in our Health Center located in Springfield, MO.

Schedule

• PRN as needed

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
