Job summary

Premise Health Inc. seeks a PRN Medical Assistant to support our Health Center in Malvern, PA. You will interview patients, measure vital signs, and maintain accurate health records to support high‑quality care.

Core duties include room preparation, instrument sterilization, administering injections, lab testing, and performing EKGs as permitted by state regulations. The role also covers front desk tasks, appointment scheduling, and low‑hour coverage with competitive benefits under Premise’s PTO

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma with externship completed and passed (online-only courses not accepted)
• Current certification with hands‑on training in BLS for health care providers (AHA/ARC or equivalent)
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from recognized certifying bodies (SC only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Administers medications including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

As a PRN Medical Assistant, you'll provide care to client employees in our Health Center located in Malvern, PA.

Schedule:

• PRN as needed to cover PTO and sick days
• Health Center Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00a - 4:00p

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands‑on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
