Job summary

Premise Health Inc. seeks a Full-Time Medical Assistant to support client employees at our Health Center in Swiftwater, PA. The role offers a consistent three-day workweek (30 hours) with four days off, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday 11:30 AM–10:00 PM.

You will work with the care team to ensure a positive patient experience in a collaborative workplace health setting. Ideal candidates have accredited MA certification with hands-on externship and BLS, plus prior MA experience.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant with hands-on externship; online-only programs not accepted.
• Current BLS/Basic Life Support certification required
• Prior MA experience preferred; strong patient care skills favored
• Nondescript state-specific certification where applicable (NV lab cert)

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and measure vital signs (pulse, temp, BP, weight, height).
• Maintain and update patient health records accurately.
• Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications; perform labs, EKGs, and other diagnostics as allowed.
• Assist at front desk, schedule appointments, and handle follow-ups.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by care team.

As a Full-Time Medical Assistant, you’ll support patient care for client employees at our Health Center in Swiftwater, PA. This is a great opportunity for an experienced MA looking for a consistent three-day workweek and four days off each week. You’ll work closely with the care team to provide a positive patient experience in a collaborative workplace health setting. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, 11:30 AM–10:00 PM, for a total of 30 hours per week.

What You’ll Do

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization OR Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed- total online courses are not accepted
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred
