Job summary

Premise Health is hiring a Full-Time Medical Assistant at our Swiftwater, PA Health Center. You’ll support patient care for client employees with a consistent three-day workweek and four days off, working Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11:30 AM to 10:00 PM for 30 hours weekly.

You’ll work closely with the care team to ensure a positive patient experience in a collaborative workplace health setting. Required credentials include national certification in Medical Assisting or an accredited MA

Qualifications

• National certification in Medical Assisting from a Premise Health approved organization
• Certificate/Diploma and Transcripts from an accredited Medical Assistant program with hands on externship completed and passed
• Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required
• State Lab Certificate (NV only)
• CMA certification required from the American Association of Medical Assistants, the National Center of Competency Testing, the National Certification Medical Association, American Medical Technologists, or any other recognized certifying body approved by the Board of Medical Examiners (South Carolina only)
• Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and measures vital signs (pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height)
• Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records
• Prepares treatment rooms, cleans and sterilizes instruments
• Medication administration including injections, performs laboratory tests, operates EKGs and other diagnostic equipment as permitted by state regulations
• Performs administrative tasks, assists at the front desk, schedules appointments, makes follow-up calls, and orders medical supplies
• Performs other duties as assigned
