Job summary

Kennedy University Hospitals, Inc. is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians in examining and treating patients. You will manage patient flow, perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, and document vital signs, while coordinating with staff to ensure patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff in line with Jefferson values.
• Escorts patients to exam rooms and ensures proper identification.
• Performs and documents vital signs, clinical care quality measures and medical history.
• Maintains knowledge of IT systems within scope of practice.
• Assists physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and may perform EKG/venipuncture/injections.
• Adheres to HIPAA privacy and security requirements.
• Orders clinical supplies to maintain inventory and smooth operations.
