Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our on-site care team in Carlsbad, CA. You will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver high-quality patient care and an exceptional guest experience, combining clinical duties with front desk responsibilities.

The role includes taking vitals, blood draws, injections, room preparation, and coordination with contracted labs. Strong MA certification/registration is preferred; CPR/BLS may be required at start date.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program
• National or state MA certification or registration preferred/required where applicable

Responsibilities

• Escorts patients to room and ensures exam rooms are cleaned and stocked
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, assist with procedures and work with labs for tests
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, and other care coordination
• Record patient data accurately in the medical record and communicate results per provider instructions
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups and maintain supplies/equipment
