Job summary

Corewell Health in Ludington, MI is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our clinical support team. You will work closely with physicians and nurses to help deliver high-quality patient care and ensure smooth clinic operations.

This role requires a High School diploma, BLS certification within 120 days, and CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NRCMA certifications as available. Prior physician practice experience is preferred; training will begin part-time and ramp to full participation as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting preferred.
• BLS certification required within 120 days of start.
• CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or NRCMA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• As Medical Assistant, work with the clinical support team to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support efficient clinic operations.

Job description

This position requires at a minimum two 8 hour shifts every 6 weeks. There is potential to work up to part time hours when needed, and available. Please note that you would need to be able to train at a minimum of part time hours for the initial 4-8 weeks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 120 Days
• AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
• AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
• NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
• NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
• NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
