Job summary

NeoPath Health, Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant to join the Cedar Ridge Health Center in Rice Lake, WI. The role supports practitioners, performs clinical and some administrative duties, and maintains smooth patient flow.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited MA program with BLS certification and EHR experience; phlebotomy and immunization administration are included. On-site clinic environment with standard 3–4 8-hour shifts, no weekends.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• Current AAMA certification preferred but not required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required, EHR experience preferred.
• Ability to cooperate, collaborate and communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Demonstrated organizational skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes patients and visitors and meets their needs.
• Verifies patient information and records medical history.
• Assist health care practitioners during examinations and procedures.
• Prepare laboratory specimens and perform tests on site.
• Manage patient flow and keep exam rooms stocked and clean.
• Administer injections including immunizations as ordered.
• Draw blood and perform ECGs as needed.
• Document patient information in the EHR per policy.
• Communicate with outside clinical partners as directed.
