Job summary

OMNI FAMILY HEALTH in Fresno, CA is hiring a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and patients in a busy ambulatory care setting. The MA will assist with exams, take vital signs, prepare rooms, and help with procedures under supervision.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, California MA training, venipuncture, CPR and BLS certifications, and preferably bilingual English-Spanish. Travel to clinics may be needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Training for Medical Assistants per California Medical Board.
• Current Venipuncture certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current BLS certification.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical and clerical support to the clinical staff and patients.
• Prepares exam rooms according to procedure and visit needs.
• Measures vital signs and collects patient information.
• Assists clinicians with exams and procedures.
• Completes lab orders, referrals, and medication refills as needed.
• Administers medications and injections per written orders.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and other services ordered by provider.
