Job summary

Omni Family Health in Shafter, CA is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians in a busy primary care setting. The MA will perform administrative and clinical duties, prepare patients for exams, and assist with procedures under supervision.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting medical history, processing orders and referrals, and maintaining a clean, stocked exam room. Able to travel between Omni clinics as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of training for Medical Assistants as specified by California requirements.
• Current Venipuncture certification.
• Current CPR and BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and clerical support to clinicians and patients.
• Prepare exam rooms and chart patient information before visits.
• Take vital signs and basic measurements (height, weight, BP, temperature).
• Assist with exams and procedures as directed by clinicians.
• Process orders, referrals, and medication refills; document accurately.
