Job summary

Better Health Group in Florida is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team focused on primary care for patients 65+. The role blends administrative and clinical duties, including preparing patients and rooms, taking vitals, and assisting physicians during exams.

You will maintain complete EMR records, handle front-desk tasks, manage inventory, and support patient education. This safety-sensitive role requires a high school diploma, MA program completion preferred (RMA/CMA), and at least 1

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; MA program preferred.
• CPR certification preferred; IV start certification preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA preferred.
• Familiarity with EMR and standard office software.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for examinations and record vitals.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures.
• Maintain accurate EMR records and patient information.
• Handle front-desk duties: phones, scheduling, inquiries.
• Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Administer medications per physician instructions.
• Perform in-office diagnostic tests and basic lab tests.
• Support onboarding and training of new team members.
• Maintain inventory of medications and supplies.
