Job summary

VIPcare in Palm Bay, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support under a physician or mid-level provider. You will prepare patients, assist during visits, document in EMR, administer meds as directed, and coordinate front-office tasks to ensure patient flow and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual Spanish required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent certification).
• 1+ year(s) of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice, outpatient, or ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within organizational guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for provider examinations by obtaining and documenting patient history, chief complaint, current medications, allergies, medical history, surgical history, family history, social history, preventive care information, and other relevant clinical information in the EMR.
• Measure, document, and report vital signs and other clinical observations.
• Prepare patients and examination rooms for provider visits.
• Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures.
• Explain provider instructions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care to patients as directed.
• Provide compassionate, professional service that promotes a positive patient experience.
