Humana Inc. seeks a Medical Assistant for Conviva Senior Primary Care in San Antonio, TX. You will handle patient care and administrative duties, support clinical workflows, and document in EHR/EMR systems while ensuring quality and regulatory adherence.

The role requires MA training or CMA/RMA credentials or 5+ years of experience, CPR certification, and a high school diploma. Travel to other clinics may be needed. 40 hours weekly, M-F, on-site.

Qualifications

• Successful MA school/training program or CMA/RMA or 5+ years experience with provider approval.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type.
• Manage the provider's schedule to ensure efficient workflow.
• Obtain and record medical history and vital signs.
• Room patients and assist with procedures and treatments.
• Perform specimen collection and point of care testing.
• Prepare and administer medications under clinician direction.
• Document in EHR/EMR, including HEDIS and Stars measures.
• Maintain established quality control standards.
• Occasional travel to other clinics.
