Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care seeks a Medical Assistant to be the first point of contact for patient care in an outpatient setting at Conviva Southside, San Antonio, TX. The role blends administrative duties with clinical tasks, including recording vitals and inputting information into the EMR system.

Qualifications

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
• Bilingual proficient in English and Spanish
• CPR Certified
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• MA school/training program or 5+ years experience (preferred)
• Phlebotomy and vaccine administration experience (preferred)
• Value Based Care knowledge incl. CPT/ICD, HEDIS/HOS (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms and input information into the electronic medical records system.
• Take vital signs and perform diagnostic tasks.
• Administer injections and collect specimens/draw blood.
• Sterilize and clean equipment and maintain examination rooms.
• Collaborate closely with Physicians and Nurses; deliver direct patient care within certification limits.
