Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care seeks a Medical Assistant to be the first point of contact for patient care in an outpatient setting at Conviva Southside, San Antonio, TX. • Value Based Care knowledge incl. CPT/ICD, HEDIS/HOS (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Discuss symptoms and input information into the electronic medical records system.
• Take vital signs and perform diagnostic tasks.
• Administer injections and collect specimens/draw blood.
• Sterilize and clean equipment and maintain examination rooms.
• Collaborate closely with Physicians and Nurses; deliver direct patient care within certification limits.

The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments.

The Medical Assistant performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. The Medical Assistant performs clinical duties. These duties include discussing symptoms and gathering and inputting information into the electronic medical records system. They also take vital signs, give injections, and perform diagnostic tests. Additionally, the Medical Assistant collects specimens, draws blood, sterilizes and cleans equipment, and maintains examination rooms at an outpatient care site. Collaborates closely with Physicians and Nurses. Delivers direct patient care dependent on what active certification allows. You will report onsite to the Clinic Administrator at Conviva Southside located at: 9418 Guilbeau, San Antonio, TX 78250.

Required

• Certified/Registered Medical Assistant
• You will be Bilingual proficient in English and Spanish
• You will be CPR Certified
• You will have a high school diploma or equivalent

Preferred

• You will have successful completion of MA school/training program or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• You will have 1+ years MA experience
• You will have phlebotomy experience
• You will have medication/vaccine administration experience
• You will have Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.

• This role is considered patient-facing and is part of the company's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$43,000 - $56,200 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
