Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care is seeking a Medical Assistant to be the first point of contact for patients, performing both administrative and clinical tasks. You will manage the provider's schedule, record histories and vitals, and assist with procedures in a clinic setting.

The role requires MA training or certification or 5+ years experience with provider approval, a high school diploma, and CPR certification. Occasional travel to other clinics is required.

• Prepare and administer medications under provider direction.
• Document visits accurately in EHR/EMR, including HEDIS/Stars measures.
• Maintain established quality control standards.
• Occasional travel to other clinics.

Job Functions

• Perform pre-visit planning based on patient visit type
• Manage the provider's schedule to ensure efficient workflow
• Obtain and record medical history and vital signs
• Room patients and assist healthcare providers with medical procedures and treatments
• Perform specimen collection and point of care testing
• Prepare and administer medications under direction of healthcare providers
• Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR) and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, including documentation of HEDIS and Stars quality measures
• Maintain established quality control standards
• Occasional travel to other clinics

Required

Use your skills to make an impact

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified

Preferred

• Certified or Registered – (Arizona, Indiana, & South Carolina candidates require Medical Assistant Certification or Registration)
• Phlebotomy experience
• Medication/vaccine administration experience
• 1+ years MA experience
• Value Based Care experience including knowledge of HEDIS, CPT/ICD coding, and CAHPS/HOS Patient Experience.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - must pass proficiency exam prior to foreign language communication

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$43,000 - $56,200 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
