Job summary

Conviva Senior Primary Care, part of Humana, is seeking a Medical Assistant II to serve as the first point of contact in an outpatient care site. You will assist with clinical tasks, collect data, and input information into the EMR while supporting physicians and nurses.

Requirements include completion of an MA program or MA certification/registration, a high school diploma, CPR certification, and TB screening. Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are preferred and will be tested.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of MA school/training program or a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or 5+ years of experience and approval from Provider
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR Certified
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of the company's TB screening program

Responsibilities

• Clinical duties such as discussing symptoms and gathering/inputting information into the EMR, taking vital signs, injections, diagnostic tests, specimen collection, drawing blood, sterilizing and cleaning equipment, and maintaining examination rooms
• Collaborates closely with Physicians and Nurses and provides direct patient care within certification limits
• Perform administrative duties and semi-routine operational/customer support tasks

Skills

Bilingual in English and Spanish
