Job summary

VIPCARE in Edmond, OK is seeking a Medical Assistant to support physicians with exams, prepare patients, and maintain accurate EMR records, while delivering friendly, patient-focused care.

The role includes front-desk duties, triage calls, specimen handling, basic diagnostics, and assisting with in-office procedures. Minimum 1 year MA experience preferred; CPR and IV start certifications preferred. Competitive compensation and benefits package offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (RMA or CMA).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CPR certification preferred.
• IV Start Certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for provider examination by obtaining medical history, vitals, and documenting in EMR.
• Assist provider with examination, treatments, and procedures as directed.
• Maintain complete and detailed electronic medical records for patients.
• Explain treatment procedures, medications, and provider instructions to patients.
• Perform front-desk duties: answering phones, scheduling, triage, and patient reminders.
• Perform in-office diagnostic tests and CLIA-waived lab tests.
• Assist with inventory management and onboarding of new team members.
