Job summary

VIPCARE in Winter Park, FL is hiring a Medical Assistant to support physicians with exams and patient care. You will manage front-desk tasks, maintain EMR records, and assist with both clinical and administrative duties to ensure a smooth patient experience.

The ideal candidate has MA training, at least 1 year of experience, and proficiency with EMR systems, Google Suite, and MS Office. CPR/IV/Phlebotomy are preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (RMA or CMA).
• Minimum of 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• CPR certification preferred.
• IV Start certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and OSHA preferred.
• Proficient with Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent telephone and switchboard etiquette.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for exams and record history and vitals.
• Assist physicians with exams and procedures; front-desk tasks.
• Maintain complete EMR records and accurate documentation.
• Record vital signs and input into EMR accurately.
• Schedule appointments and handle routine inquiries; triage calls.
• Explain procedures, medications, and post-care instructions to patients.
• Prepare patient and room for examinations; assist during procedures.
• Perform in-office CLIA-waived tests and basic lab duties.
